Frequently asked questions.

Which models does Crossfire use?
Claude from Anthropic, GPT from OpenAI and Gemini from Google. Specific versions change as providers release them. A Chat session synthesis names the model that moderated it.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Crossfire runs the models and shows you the cost.
Why not just use one model?
One model gives one confident answer, blind spots included. Three independent analyses give you a count on every finding. 1 of 3 says pause, 2 of 3 says think, 3 of 3 says move.
Does Crossfire pick a winner?
No. The moderator merges overlapping findings and keeps every position. The count shows how many analyses agreed. You decide.
If all three agree, is it right?
Not always. Three models can share a blind spot, which is why high-severity findings are flagged for a person even when all three agree. Agreement is evidence, not proof.
How does the moderator stay neutral?
It receives the three analyses labeled A, B and C in place of provider names.
Which file types work?
PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD and RTF. Up to 10 files per session, one subject and the rest context.
How long does a round take?
Minutes, depending on document length and depth. Rounds run in the background, so you can close the tab and come back.
What does a round cost?
It depends on length, depth and model tier. The cost shows in the state bar and in the Word task pane, and no round runs unless you start it.
Can I use it inside Word?
Yes. The Word add-in puts a Crossfire tab on the ribbon and writes findings as native comments. Request it from the Word add-in page.
Google Docs?
Not yet. It is planned.
Are my documents used to train models?
No. Crossfire does not train on your documents, and the providers do not either. Anthropic and OpenAI exclude API content from training by default. Google does not use paid-tier prompts and responses to improve its products. How long each provider keeps API inputs and outputs, and for what purposes, depends on that provider's terms and on the account tier and settings in use. The terms linked above govern.
What happens to a finding I ignore?
It carries into the next round unchanged. Not acting is deferring.
Can I undo a rejection?
On the web, yes, in one click. In Word, findings are comments and suggested edits are tracked changes, so you use Word's own review controls and Word's own undo.
Is this legal or professional advice?
No. Crossfire organizes what three models found. Decisions, and responsibility for them, stay with you.
Who can see my sessions?
Only you. Sessions are private to the account that created them.
